Qualifications

• Experience assisting plumbers or pipefitters preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to work in hot/cold environments.
• Good communication and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Assist plumbers by performing rough-ins, repairs and locating leaks.
• Cut holes in walls or floors to fit pipes.
• Measure, cut, thread and assemble pipe.
• Mount brackets and hangers to support piping.
• Dispatch tools and materials to site.
• Assist in fitting valves or assemblies to systems.
• Help with layout and installation of piping for air, gas, and water systems.
• Excavate and grade ditches by hand.
• Lay and join water and sewer pipes.
• Disassemble damaged pipes and clean work area.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
