Job summary

MillerWorks in Tallahassee, FL is seeking a Sheet Metal Fabricator to join our fabrication shop. The role focuses on fabricating commercial HVAC ductwork, fittings, and related sheet metal components according to job orders, drawings, and specs.

You will operate Vicon equipment, CNC press brakes, spiral machines, and other shop tools. Responsibilities include measuring, laying out, cutting, forming, bending, assembling, and inspecting parts to ensure they meet quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; relevant work experience acceptable.
• Minimum of one year of experience in commercial HVAC sheet metal fabrication.
• Able to read blueprints, job orders, and specifications.
• Experience with hand and power tools used in sheet metal fabrication.
• Basic math and measurement skills essential for fabrication.
• Ability to follow instructions with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate HVAC ductwork and sheet metal components per orders, blueprints, and specifications.
• Set up and operate sheet metal fabrication machinery including Vicon equipment, CNC press brakes, and spiral machines.
• Read and verify job orders, blueprints, measurements, and fabrication details before starting work.
• Inspect finished components for measurements, fit, alignment, and conformance to standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop workspace and report equipment issues.
• Assist with related fabrication activities to support production priorities.
