Mount Sinai Morningside is seeking a Staff Nurse to join the PICC Insertion Team. This full-time (day) position runs 11am to 9:00pm with the added responsibility of working every other weekend.

The nurse will care for assigned patients, perform assessments, and participate in care planning within a collaborative team setting. The role emphasizes patient teaching and discharge planning, along with adherence to professional nursing standards and performance of clinical duties.

Qualifications

• Responsible for the care activities and goal achievements of assigned patients by assessing, diagnosing, planning and intervening in actual or potential health problems.
• Responsible health teaching and discharge planning.
• Acts as a member of a designated care team and collaborates, coordinates and guides team members in planning patient care activities.
• Demonstrates behaviors, which reflect the scientific knowledge, judgment and teaching skills of a professional nurse.
