Job summary

TridentCare is seeking a PICC Line Nurse to assess patients, perform PICC line placement, and ensure proper insertion with aseptic technique. The role requires independent work, clear communication with patients and healthcare teams, and thorough documentation of the procedure.

Qualifications

• Must have good knowledge base for caring for central venous catheters.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess and perform overall evaluation of the patient and placement of PICC line.
• Maintain aseptic technique during PICC insertion and post-procedure care.
• Complete required charting and documentation of PICC placement and care.
• Educate patient on PICC care and maintenance after insertion.
• Ensure informed consent and physician orders are in place.
• Collaborate with nurses and physicians to support PICC program operations.
