Job summary

Regions Hospital is looking for a patient-focused Vascular Access Nurse to perform PICC and Midline placements under physician orders and manage related care, including removal, declotting, and dressing changes.

Requirements include an RN license and 2+ years of direct med/surg patient care and infusion delivery experience. The role supports performance improvement activities and other duties as assigned, with 0.70 evening shifts and alternating weekend rotation.

Qualifications

• Completion of an associate, baccalaureate or master’s degree program in Nursing.
• 2 years of direct patient care in a med/surg setting in acute care.
• 2 years of experience in infusion delivery.
• Licensed as a registered nurse by the State of Minnesota.
• CPR for the professional rescuer or BLS for healthcare providers.

Responsibilities

• Perform placement of peripherally inserted central lines (PICC) and Midlines under physician orders.
• PICC removal, PICC declotting, dressing application/care and troubleshooting.
• Assess and identify patients for whom a PICC is indicated.
• Participate in performance improvement activities related to PICC practices and perform other duties as assigned.
