Job summary

OpenLight is seeking an experienced engineering professional to own the yield and qualification of PIC products for high-volume manufacturing. You will work with design, layout, fab process, test, reliability, supply chain, and external partners to optimize performance and reliability from wafer test through shipped product.

Your role requires building robust yield baselines, forecasting improvements, and translating process changes into product-level outcomes.

Qualifications

• Requires a B.S./M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Applied Materials Science, Applied Physics, or related field.
• 3+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Strong background in statistical analysis, data mining, and simulation tools such as JMP and Python.

Responsibilities

• Define HVM yield and qualification methodologies for PDK components and PIC products.
• Baseline and forecast product yield; drive yield and quality improvements across the portfolio.
• Own end-to-end yield for PIC products through HVM; coordinate with platform/process, back-end, and external foundry partners.
• Analyze test data for lasers, modulators, optical amplifiers and other components; support test and reliability plans.
• Maintain data analysis workflows and improve data accessibility across stakeholders.
• Collaborate with design, test and reliability teams to meet specifications over PVT and qualification testing.
