Job summary

Coherent Corp. is seeking a Product Engineer to lead cross-functional teams in investigating yield excursions and implementing CAPA actions.

You will own yield bridge activities for NPI and high-volume manufacturing, ensuring scalable processes and robust yield performance. Ideal candidates will have strong data analytics, experience with VCSEL/DFB devices, and a track record of improving manufacturability in a high-volume setting.

Qualifications

Responsibilities: support daily production, analyze failures on wafer fabrication and testing lines.
Collaborate with R&D to introduce next-gen optoelectronic chips (VCSEL, DFB laser, photonic chips) for 3D sensing.
Define design/process spec limits via sensitivity studies and correlational analysis to improve manufacturability.

Responsibilities

Monitor and improve yield across wafer fabrication, testing, and reliability evaluations.
Lead cross-functional teams to investigate yield excursions and implement CAPA measures.
Support ramp-up readiness and ensure manufacturing readiness of chip designs, equipment, and processes.
Drive yield improvements and cost reduction post ramp with statistical analysis.
Collaborate with sub-assembly and module teams to address chip-related issues at contract manufacturers.
