Job summary

Intel Foundry is seeking a Senior Silicon Photonics Reliability Engineer to drive reliability strategy, qualification, and technology development for PICs and photonic devices. You will collaborate with technology development, design, manufacturing, and quality teams to assess, improve, and certify reliability throughout the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Master's degree with 4+ years of relevant experience, or PhD with 2+ years in photonics/reliability.
• 2+ years of silicon photonics, photonic devices, or integrated photonics technology development.
• 4+ years of semiconductor device characterization, validation, yield, reliability, or test engineering.
• 4+ years of reliability engineering, qualification engineering, failure analysis, or technology development in semiconductor/photonics environments.

Responsibilities

• Assess intrinsic and extrinsic reliability of photonic devices and PICs, lasers, and optical products.
• Develop reliability models and DOE-based qualification methodologies.
• Lead failure analysis and root-cause investigations using data-driven methods.
• Analyze large data sets to identify trends, opportunities, and reliability risks using statistics.
• Define reliability requirements for new silicon photonics technologies and products.
• Support transfer of new technology into high-volume manufacturing.
