Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Support clinical, educational, and academic programs.
  • Prepare clinics and manage provider calendars and schedules.
  • Coordinate patient care and provide information/data support.
  • Serve as primary contact for providers and manage calendars, appointments, documentation, and information.
  • Identify missing orders and obtain review and approval.
  • Gather information for referrals and prior authorizations.
  • Compose, edit, and obtain signatures for non-routine correspondence and denied-claim appeals.
  • Arrange travel, conference registration, and hotel accommodations.
  • Facilitate invited lectures and speaking engagements.
  • Research hospital medical records for physicians, insurance companies, and attorneys.
  • Determine and negotiate daily surgery and ambulatory procedure schedules.
  • Order and confirm surgical/procedure equipment, devices, and medication.
  • Ensure patient education, pre-operative readiness, post-operative rehabilitation details, and completeness of pre-op information.
  • Complete disability paperwork using electronic medical record information.
  • Assess patient calls, prioritize medical concerns, obtain provider responses, and follow up with patients.
  • Serve as main point of contact for patients before and after surgery.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
