Job summary

UNC Health seeks a Manager, Physician Practice Operations to lead staff and operations across clinics within Pardee UNC Health Care. You will oversee staff, budgets, and policy implementation while ensuring alignment with organizational standards and quality measures.

Responsibilities include supervising departments, reviewing monthly financial and patient activity data, and driving risk management and process improvements in a busy practice setting.

Qualifications

• Active Driver’s License and access to transportation.
• Five (5) years of experience in private practice or clinical office setting.
• Two (2) years of supervisory experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office.
• Experience or training with ICD9 and CPT coding.
• Experience or training with basic accounting principles.

Responsibilities

• Manages the staff and business operations of physician and/or clinical practices. Delegates responsibility and authority to subordinates and oversees performance of staff.
• Maintains daily operations of practices within current budgeted operating expenses; supervises daily work of associates (excluding medical provider staff).
• Supervises and reviews monthly revenue and patient activity reports for physician meetings; coordinates departmental orientations with clinical leadership.
• Provides input to strategic decisions affecting the functional area and budget coordination; resolves escalated operational issues.
• Develops and implements clinic policies and procedures in collaboration with leadership and organization policies.
• Reviews metrics and monthly reports including quality improvement, safety, infection control, exposure control, and risk management.
