Job summary

UNC Health Care seeks a Manager of Physician Practice Operations to oversee clinics, staff and quality initiatives. You will direct professional and support staff, implement quality management programs, and monitor policy compliance across the practice site.

Lead daily operations within budget, supervise staff, and coordinate with physicians to ensure efficient, compliant patient care aligned with organizational standards.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of experience in private practice or clinical office settings.
• Two (2) years of supervisory experience.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Experience with ICD9 and CPT coding.
• Experience with basic accounting principles.

Responsibilities

• Manages staff and business operations of physician and/or clinical practices.
• Oversees daily operations within current budgeted expenses.
• Supervises monthly revenue and patient activity reports for physician meetings.
• Gives input on strategic decisions and budget coordination.
• Develops and implements clinic policies in line with organizational policies.
• Reviews metrics including QI, Safety, Infection Control, and Risk Management.
