Job summary

Intermountain Health Riverton Hospital is seeking an OB Hospitalist to join our obstetric team in Riverton, Utah. The role supports a Level II/III NICU environment with 24/7 coverage and telehealth consults, coordinating care across OB, MFM, and neonatology services.

We offer a signing bonus of $15,000 and relocation assistance up to $20,000, plus a comprehensive benefits package. Candidates must have an MD/DO, OB/GYN residency, and Utah license with DEA and BLS where applicable.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical school.
• ACGME accredited residency training in OBGYN.
• Board certification or eligibility in OB/GYN.
• Newly Graduated Resident Physicians are welcome to apply.
• Active, unobstructed Utah medical license, or the ability to obtain one.
• DEA License.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide obstetric hospitalist coverage for Riverton Hospital and the Southridge Clinic/Practices.
• Attend precipitous deliveries and initiate care during obstetric emergencies.
• Support OB/GYN patients in the clinic or emergency settings when needed for Southridge GYN patients.
• Collaborate with MFM/Neonatology via telehealth 24/7 and maintain bedside readiness for emergencies.

About this role:

As an OB Hospitalist Physician with Intermountain Health you will join our Obstetric Hospitalist program at Riverton Hospital located in Riverton, Utah.

Our OB Hospitalists are key members of a Work Family that encompasses the Southridge Clinic Physicians and Midwives coming together to collaborate as a cohesive unit. We provide coverage for patients of our Southridge practice, surgical backup for the midwives, OB unassigned patients, and are first to bedside to obstetrical emergencies. We support our affiliate providers by attending precipitous deliveries or initiating care during emergencies while providers are en route. On a limited basis this position includes supporting a case in the clinic or an emergency for a Southridge GYN patient.

Riverton Hospital is home to a 9-bed labor and delivery unit (growing to 11-bed next year), averaging 2400 deliveries annually. We are a Level II NICU (about to advance to Level III NICU by summer) and have an MFM clinic on site. MFM & Neonatologist consult available via telehealth 24/7. Anesthesiologist on site 24/7.

• Full time, expectation of working 7 24-hour shifts per month.
• Eligible for a $15,000 signing bonus & up to $20,000 in relocation assistance
