Job summary

Intermountain Health Riverton Hospital is seeking an OB Hospitalist to join a dedicated team in Riverton, Utah. The role involves providing obstetric hospitalist coverage, assisting with obstetric emergencies, and collaborating with Southridge Clinic physicians and midwives.

Licensed in Utah or able to obtain license, with BLS and DEA credentials preferred. The position offers a full-time schedule of 7 24-hour shifts per month, a $15,000 signing bonus, and up to $20,000 relocation assistance,

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• ACGME accredited residency training in OB/GYN.
• Board certification or eligibility in OB/GYN.
• Newly Graduated Resident Physicians welcome to apply.
• Active Utah medical license or ability to obtain one.
• DEA License.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide obstetric hospitalist coverage at Riverton Hospital as part of the OB Hospitalist program.
• Collaborate within the Work Family with Southridge Clinic Physicians and Midwives to deliver comprehensive obstetric care.
• Attend precipitous deliveries and obstetric emergencies; support OB unassigned patients.
• On limited basis, assist with clinic duties or GYN emergencies for Southridge patients.
• Coordinate with on-site teams and telehealth consults for MFM/Neonatology as needed.

About this role:

As an OB Hospitalist Physician with Intermountain Health you will join our Obstetric Hospitalist program at Riverton Hospital located in Riverton, Utah.

Our OB Hospitalists are key members of a Work Family that encompasses the Southridge Clinic Physicians and Midwives coming together to collaborate as a cohesive unit. We provide coverage for patients of our Southridge practice, surgical backup for the midwives, OB unassigned patients, and are first to bedside to obstetrical emergencies. We support our affiliate providers by attending precipitous deliveries or initiating care during emergencies while providers are en route. On a limited basis this position includes supporting a case in the clinic or an emergency for a Southridge GYN patient.

Riverton Hospital is home to a 9-bed labor and delivery unit (growing to 11-bed next year), averaging 2400 deliveries annually. We are a Level II NICU (about to advance to Level III NICU by summer) and have an MFM clinic on site. MFM & Neonatologist consult available via telehealth 24/7. Anesthesiologist on site 24/7.

• Full time, expectation of working 7 24-hour shifts per month.
• Eligible for a $15,000 signing bonus & up to $20,000 in relocation assistance
