Job summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a Physician Assistant to work under a supervising physician to deliver high-quality, team-based patient-focused care across office, hospital, ED, and perioperative settings. The PA may first assist in the OR or perform department-specific procedures and support on-call responsibilities, including evenings or weekends as needed.

Responsibilities include conducting exams, ordering tests, developing patient management plans, and educating patients.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an ARC-PA accredited physician assistant program by start date.
• California PA license required at hire or within transition period.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• National Provider Identifier (NPI) required at hire.
• Physician Assistant National Certificate required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team under the supervising physician.
• Examine patients, perform physical exams, and record data.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging.
• Perform procedures such as injections, suturing, and wound care.
• Assist in perioperative care and first assist in surgeries where applicable.
• Manage patient care plans and provide education to patients and families.
• Support admissions, transfers, discharges, and on-call responsibilities.
