KAISER is seeking a Physician Assistant to provide high quality, team-based patient care under the supervision of a physician in various settings including office, hospital, ED, and perioperative areas.

Responsibilities include performing physical exams, ordering tests, administering procedures, and developing patient care plans. Some duties may require first assist in surgeries and on-call support.

Qualifikationen

• Graduate from an ARC-PA accredited physician assistant program by start date.
• License, Certification, Registration: PA license (California) required at hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) is required at hire.
• National Provider Identifier required at hire.
• Physician Assistant National Certification required at hire.

Aufgaben

• Practice as part of a team under the direction of their supervising physician.
• Examine patient, perform physical exams and compile medical data.
• Administer or order diagnostic tests and interpret results.
• Perform injections, immunizations, suturing, wound care and infection management.
• Develop and implement patient management plans and records progress notes.
• Instruct patients regarding treatment regimens and health maintenance.
• May facilitate admissions, transfers, discharges and first assist in surgeries.
• Assist in postoperative orders and discharge summaries.
