Kaiser Permanente in San Francisco seeks a Physician Assistant to deliver high quality, team-based patient-centered care across office, hospital, ED and perioperative settings. The PA may first assist in the OR and support on-call responsibilities for the supervising physician, with potential evening or weekend hours.

Responsibilities include examining patients, ordering tests, interpreting results, performing procedures, developing management plans, and educating patients.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant program by start date.
• Active California PA license required at hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at hire.
• National Provider Identifier required at hire.
• PA National Certificate required at hire.
• Fluoroscopy permit required within 18 months in Orthopedics/IR/RT.

Responsabilités

• Practice as part of a team under the direction of a supervising physician.
• Examine patients, perform physicals, and compile medical data.
• Administer or order diagnostic tests and interpret results.
• Perform injections, immunizations, suturing and wound care.
• Develop and implement patient management plans and document progress notes.
• Instruct patients on compliance with therapies and health maintenance.
• May facilitate admissions, transfers, discharges and be First Assist in surgeries.
• Round on inpatients and assist in peri-operative procedures as applicable.
• Review charts, allergies, history, and abnormal findings with attending physician.
• Help with peri-operative orders and discharge planning.
