Job summary

Premise Health is seeking a Full Time Physician Assistant for our Occupational Health Center in Clayton, NC. You will operate as the sole provider with support from nearby clinical teams, offering independent practice and a collaborative environment.

Ideal candidates will have NCCPA certification, ARC-PA accredited training, a valid DEA license, and at least three years of ambulatory/occupational health experience.

Qualifications

• Current NCCPA national certification is required.
• ARC-PA accredited program graduates only.
• Federal DEA license for practice in applicable states.
• At least three years of clinical PA experience in ambulatory/occupational health, family practice or emergency department.
• Maintains state licenses/certifications to practice.
• Hands-on BLS training; ACLS may be required by contract scope.

Responsibilities

• Conducts physical exams and preventive health measures per guidelines and approved agreements.
• Performs procedures such as injections, suturing, wound care, and infection management.
• Develops patient care plans, records progress, and ensures continuity of care.
• Educates patients on treatment plans, health maintenance, growth and development.
• Orders and interprets diagnostic tests to assess clinical conditions.
• Collaborates with physicians and healthcare teams for comprehensive care.
• Prescribes or recommends treatments, including medications and therapies.
• Refers patients to specialists or physicians as needed.

What You’ll Do

What You’ll Bring

• Maintains state licenses/certifications to practice
• Maintains Board of Pharmacy Prescribing License (if applicable)
• Current NCCPA national certification required
• Degree from ARC-PA accredited program
• Federal DEA license (matching each state of practice as applicable)
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services
• At least three years of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant in an ambulatory care, occupational health, family practice or emergency department setting
