Job summary

Premise Health in Norco, LA is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant to provide care to client employees at our on-site Health Center. The role runs Monday–Friday 6:30am–3:00pm, focusing on preventive exams, treatments, and coordinating care.

You’ll work with physicians and healthcare teams, order tests, prescribe therapies, and maintain accurate records. Candidates must have NCCPA, ARC-PA accredited degree, and state licenses; at least three years in ambulatory or urgent care settings.

Qualifications

• Active Physician Assistant license and current NCCPA certification.
• ARC-PA accredited PA program completion.
• Current Federal DEA registration.
• State licenses as required by practice state (LA).
• Hands-on BLS; ACLS may be required per contract.

Responsibilities

• Conducts physical exams and preventive health measures per guidelines.
• Performs procedures such as injections, suturing, wound care, infection management.
• Develops patient care plans and ensures continuity of care.
• Educates patients on treatment plans and health maintenance.
• Orders and interprets diagnostic tests to assess conditions.
• Collaborates with physicians and healthcare teams for comprehensive care.
• Prescribes or recommends treatments, including medications and therapies.
• Maintains patient health records with accurate documentation.

As a Full Time Physician Assistant (PA), you'll provide care to client employees in our Health Center located in Norco, LA. The scheduled hours are Monday-Friday 6:30am-3:00pm.

What You’ll Do

• Conducts physical exams and preventive health measures per guidelines and approved agreements.
• Performs procedures such as injections, suturing, wound care, and infection management.
• Develops patient care plans, records progress, and ensures continuity of care.
• Educates patients on treatment plans, health maintenance, growth and development.
• Orders and interprets diagnostic tests to assess clinical conditions.
• Collaborates with physicians and healthcare teams for comprehensive care.
• Prescribes or recommends treatments, including medications and therapies.
• Refers patients to specialists or physicians as needed.
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation and records.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring

• Maintains state licenses/certifications to practice.
• Maintains Board of Pharmacy Prescribing License (if applicable).
• Current NCCPA national certification required.
• Degree from ARC-PA accredited program.
• Federal DEA license (matching each state of practice as applicable).
• State Narcotic/Controlled Substance license if required in your state (Alabama, Connecticut, DC, Delaware, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Utah, Wyoming, Puerto Rico) (New York ROPES registration).
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services.
• At least three years of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant in an ambulatory care, occupational health, family practice or emergency department setting.
