Job summary

Washington State Department of Corrections seeks a Physician 3 at Coyote Ridge Corrections Center in Connell, WA to provide direct patient care and lead medical operations under supervision of the Facility Medical Director. The role involves coordinating a population-based health approach and participating in CQIP.

Qualified candidates will hold an unrestricted WA medical license, a buprenorphine waiver, BLS, and board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine; extensive experience in

Qualifications

• Unrestricted license to practice medicine in Washington State.
• Unrestricted DEA license with buprenorphine waiver (or ability to obtain within 60 days).
• BLS for Healthcare Providers within 60 days of hire.
• Experience supervising and/or directing health care delivery operations.
• Board certification in ABMS/ABOM; board-eligible considered with certification within 24 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical care to incarcerated patients and staff as part of the Health Services Team.
• Assess and treat patients; initiate interventions per health services policies and protocols.
• Respond to emergencies and provide CPR/triage within the facility.
• Develop and coordinate treatment plans and participate in CQIP and policy reviews.
