Job summary

State of Washington Department of Corrections, Coyote Ridge Corrections Center in Connell, WA, seeks a Registered Nurse 3 to provide clinical oversight, lead nursing staff, and ensure high-quality patient care in a correctional setting.

Responsibilities include supervising nursing tasks, planning care delivery, and participating in CQIP initiatives; requires WA RN licensure or MLS with CPR training and 2 years of RN experience.

Qualifications

• Initial and continuous licensure in WA as a Registered Nurse or MLS.
• Two years’ experience as a Registered Nurse.
• CPR training by American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical oversight of nursing staff under this position.
• Teach, instruct, monitor, supervise, and evaluate patient care implementation.
• Ensure staff attendance and competence; assign and evaluate tasks.
• Plan service delivery, prioritize care, and determine higher-level interventions when needed.
• Participate in quality improvement and document care plans and records.
