Job summary

Department of Corrections Health Services Division seeks a Physician 3 for Monroe Correctional Complex in Monroe, WA. The on-site role focuses on administrative supervision of PA/ARNP staff and direct patient care in a correctional setting.

The physician will collaborate with the Facility Medical Director, provide medical leadership, and ensure compliance with WA DOC Health Plan while supporting chronic care and addiction treatment programs. On-call duties may apply.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted license to practice medicine in Washington State.
• Unrestricted DEA license with buprenorphine waiver or eligibility.
• Board certification in an ABMS/ABOM specialty (Internal Medicine preferred).
• BLS for Health Care Providers certified within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to incarcerated individuals and oversee care plans.
• Supervise ARNPs and PAs under Facility Medical Director guidance.
• Develop and implement treatment plans with interdisciplinary team.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality.
• Participate in CQIP, care review, and quality improvement activities.
• Support Hepatitis C and OUD/suboxone management within scope.
