Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year of physical therapy experience; medical office experience preferred.
• Familiarity with HIPAA, insurance regulations, and related procedures.
• Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions.
• Ability to interpret and apply guidelines and procedures.
• Strong relationship-building with patients and staff.
• Team player with a positive attitude and professionalism.
• Maintains confidentiality on patient information.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Clean and organize work area and disinfect equipment after treatment.
• Prepare and maintain a safe, clean environment by following procedures.
• Observe patients during treatment and report progress to the physical therapist.
• Instruct, motivate, and assist patients with exercises under medical staff.
• Discuss patient information with PT staff to plan and coordinate treatment.
• Transport patients to and from treatment areas as needed.
• Prepare treatment area and attire for patient entry.
• Provide information to patients by answering questions.
• Assist with heat packs, paraffin, whirlpool, and therapy equipment.
• Enter stats into Track Via and discharge patients from FOTO.
• Educate patients on proper use of equipment and exercises.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and trust.
