Spire Orthopedic Partners in Lowell, MA is seeking an entry-level Physical Therapy Technician to join our team. You’ll assist therapists, prepare treatment areas, and help patients with exercises while ensuring a safe, clean environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• One year of physical therapy experience, medical office experience preferred.
• Familiarity with HIPAA, insurance regulations, policies, procedures.
• Ability to react calmly and effectively under stress.
• Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures.
• Develop and maintain effective and professional relationships with patients and staff.
• Team player with positive attitude and professionalism.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality on all patient issues.

Responsibilities

• Clean and organize work area and disinfect equipment after treatment.
• Observe patients during treatment and report progress to physical therapist.
• Instruct, motivate, safeguard, and assist patients with exercises and activities.
• Confer with physical therapy staff to discuss and evaluate patient information.
• Transport patients to and from treatment areas and assist with mobility.
• Prepare treatment area and patients for therapy per protocol.
• Educate patients by demonstrating proper use of equipment and routines.
• Maintain inventory and ensure supplies are stocked and available.
• Ensure operation and maintenance of therapy equipment and safety standards.
