Spooner Old Town in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking a Technician to support physical therapists and help patients perform exercises safely and effectively. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and is offered with an hourly pay range of $15.15 to $16.15, on a full-time schedule.

Responsibilities

• Assist physical therapists with designated aspects of patient care and safe execution of exercises.
• Instruct and assist patients to learn and perform functional activities.
• Demonstrate correct activity form and monitor patient progress.
• Observe patients during treatment and report responses to the therapist.
• Communicate patient progress to the therapist.

Qualifications: What You’ll Be Doing

• Assist physical therapists with designated aspects of patient care and serving our patients to ensure safety, successful execution of exercise, and a positive outcome
• Instruct, motivate, and assist patients to learn and improve functional activities such as perambulation, transfer, ambulation, and daily-living activities.
• Safeguard, motivate, and assist patients practicing exercises and functional activities under direction of professional staff. Will be required to demonstrate correct activity form or function.
• Observe the patient during various physical activities designed in the treatment plan, compiling progress on patients’ response to treatment.
• Effectively communicate patient progress and reactions to treatment to the therapist.
