Job summary

Spooner-Incorporated in Scottsdale is seeking a patient-focused Physical Therapy Technician to join a growth-minded private practice. You will support therapists, help patients perform exercises safely, and monitor progress to aid recovery.

We emphasize a culture of excellence, with ongoing learning and a comprehensive benefits package. High school diploma or GED is required, 18+ years old, and coursework in kinesiology or related fields is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 18 years of age or older.
• Majoring in Kinesiology/Biology/Exercise Science (preferred).
• Prior experience or knowledge as a physical therapy technician.

Responsibilities

• Assist physical therapists with designated aspects of patient care and serving our patients to ensure safety, successful execution of exercise, and a positive outcome.
• Instruct, motivate, and assist patients to learn and improve functional activities such as perambulation, transfer, ambulation, and daily-living activities.
• Safeguard, motivate, and assist patients practicing exercises and functional activities under direction of professional staff.
• Observe the patient during various physical activities designed in the treatment plan, compiling progress on patients’ response to treatment.
• Effectively communicate patient progress and reactions to treatment to the therapist.

Education

Majoring in Kinesiology/Biology/Exercise Science (preferred)
