Job summary

Spooner Fountain Hills in Fountain Hills, AZ 85268 is seeking a Part Time Physical Therapy Technician to support licensed therapists and help patients with mobility and daily activities. You will contribute to a safe, effective treatment environment and assist in delivering high-quality care.

The role emphasizes teamwork, patient-centered care, and hands-on learning in a long-standing private practice that partners with the community to promote health through movement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Preferred major in Kinesiology/Biology/Exercise Science.
• Prior experience as a physical therapy technician is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist physical therapists with designated patient-care tasks.
• Instruct and assist patients to learn functional activities.
• Safeguard and guide patients performing exercises under staff direction.
• Observe patient progress and document responses to treatment.
• Communicate progress and reactions to the therapist.

Qualifications

What You’ll Be Doing

• Assist physical therapists with designated aspects of patient care and serving our patients to ensure safety, successful execution of exercise, and a positive outcome
• Instruct, motivate, and assist patients to learn and improve functional activities such as perambulation, transfer, ambulation, and daily-living activities.
• Safeguard, motivate, and assist patients practicing exercises and functional activities under direction of professional staff. Will be required to demonstrate correct activity form or function.
• Observe the patient during various physical activities designed in the treatment plan, compiling progress on patients’ response to treatment.
• Effectively communicate patient progress and reactions to treatment to the therapist.
