Job summary

Spooner is seeking a part-time physical therapy technician in Mesa, AZ. You will assist therapists, guide patients through exercises, and help ensure safety and progress in treatments.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, being 18+, and preferred study in kinesiology or related fields. Prior PT tech experience is a plus, join a culture of excellence.

Responsibilities

• Assist physical therapists with designated aspects of patient care and serving our patients to ensure safety, successful execution of exercise, and a positive outcome.
• Instruct, motivate, and assist patients to learn and improve functional activities such as perambulation, transfer, ambulation, and daily living activities.
• Safeguard, motivate, and assist patients practicing exercises and functional activities under direction of professional staff.
• Observe the patient during activities designed in the treatment plan and document progress.
• Communicate patient progress and reactions to treatment to the therapist.

QualificationsWhat You’ll Be Doing

• Assist physical therapists with designated aspects of patient care and serving our patients to ensure safety, successful execution of exercise, and a positive outcome
• Instruct, motivate, and assist patients to learn and improve functional activities such as perambulation, transfer, ambulation, and daily-living activities.
• Safeguard, motivate, and assist patients practicing exercises and functional activities under direction of professional staff. Will be required to demonstrate correct activity form or function.
• Observe the patient during various physical activities designed in the treatment plan, compiling progress on patients’ response to treatment.
• Effectively communicate patient progress and reactions to treatment to the therapist.
