Job summary

Spooner is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Technician to join our Phoenix, AZ team. This full-time, on-site role supports therapists by preparing patients, guiding safe exercise, and helping deliver outcomes aligned with Spooner's patient-first philosophy.

You will work with a collaborative team, have a High School diploma or GED, be at least 18, and engage in ongoing learning. The position offers a supportive culture and growth opportunities within Arizona's largest physical therapy

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 18 years of age.
  • Majoring in Kinesiology/Biology/Exercise Science (preferred) or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Assist physical therapists with designated aspects of patient care and serving patients to ensure safety and positive outcomes.
  • Instruct, motivate, and assist patients to learn and improve functional activities such as ambulation and daily living tasks.
  • Safeguard and assist patients during exercises under supervision, demonstrating correct form.
  • Observe patients during therapies and report progress to the therapist.
  • Communicate patient progress and reactions to treatment to the therapist.

Qualifications
What You’ll Be Doing
  • Assist physical therapists with designated aspects of patient care and serving our patients to ensure safety, successful execution of exercise, and a positive outcome
  • Instruct, motivate, and assist patients to learn and improve functional activities such as perambulation, transfer, ambulation, and daily-living activities.
  • Safeguard, motivate, and assist patients practicing exercises and functional activities under direction of professional staff. Will be required to demonstrate correct activity form or function.
  • Observe the patient during various physical activities designed in the treatment plan, compiling progress on patients’ response to treatment.
  • Effectively communicate patient progress and reactions to treatment to the therapist.
