Spooner Glendale is seeking a full-time technician to support physical therapists in delivering patient care at our Glendale, AZ location. You will help patients perform exercises safely and effectively, assisting with transfers and daily activities, under close professional supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 18 years of age or older.
• Majoring in Kinesiology/Biology/Exercise Science preferred.
• Prior experience or knowledge as a physical therapy technician.

Responsibilities

• Assist physical therapists with designated aspects of patient care and serving our patients to ensure safety, successful execution of exercise, and a positive outcome.
• Instruct, motivate, and assist patients to learn and improve functional activities such as perambulation, transfer, ambulation, and daily-living activities.
• Safeguard, motivate, and assist patients practicing exercises and functional activities under direction of professional staff. Demonstrate correct activity form or function.
• Observe patients during various physical activities designed in the treatment plan and record progress.
• Communicate patient progress and reactions to treatment to the therapist.

What You’ll Be Doing
