Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to evaluate and treat patients of all ages, adapting plans of care as needed. The role includes educating patients and families, documenting progress, and coordinating with PTs to ensure effective therapy outcomes.

Qualifications

Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) with BLS within 30 days.
Board-eligible and must pass exam on the next available exam date.
Complete required continuing education regarding acute stroke care.

Responsibilities

Educates patients and families using relevant and effective teaching methods.
Follows therapist's plan of care and adjusts treatment after communicating with the evaluating therapist and documenting in the daily note.
Produces documentation in accordance with policy.
Completes annual education for DNV Hip and Knee Replacement requirements.
Follows treatment plan of care established by PT and provides interventions including therapeutic exercise, gait and balance training, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, aquatic therapy.
Coordinates with PT on patient treatment interventions and communicates progress to referring provider.
