Job summary

Trinity Healthcare Talent Services, LLC seeks a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant to join a skilled nursing facility in Mapplewood, Minnesota. This full-time position involves assisting the PT, educating patients, and supporting coordinated care to improve mobility and function.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, maintain accurate documentation, and ensure a safe, clean treatment area while adhering to infection control protocols. Compensation is up to $33/hour with benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have an associate's degree from an accredited PTA program.
• Minnesota state license or eligibility required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a skilled nursing facility or healthcare setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology and documentation procedures.
• Physical stamina to assist patients with mobility.

Responsibilities

• Assist the physical therapist in evaluating and treating patients with a variety of conditions.
• Help patients perform therapeutic exercises to improve strength, mobility, and range of motion.
• Monitor and document patients' progress and report changes to the physical therapist.
• Educate patients and families on proper techniques for exercise and home progress.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop individualized treatment plans.
• Maintain a clean and organized treatment area and ensure equipment is in good working order.
• Adhere to safety and infection control protocols to ensure patient and staff safety.
