Job summary

Elite Home Health, part of LHC Group and a member of the UnitedHealth Group family, is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to perform treatment, provide exercise instruction, and educate patients under the plan of care.

You will work in home settings, following state laws and the established plan of care, assisting with gait, transfers, and mobility while collaborating with the supervising Physical Therapist and health-care team.

Qualifications

• Current license to assist in physical therapy in state of practice.
• Valid driver''s license and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.

Responsibilities

• Follow plan of care defined by supervising PT; perform only approved procedures.
• Instruct patients in active and passive exercises, muscle re-education, gait, ADLs, transfers and prosthetic training.
• Observe and report patient responses to treatment to the supervising PT and care team.
• Educate patient, family and other care team members on therapy within the PTA scope.
• Provide care in home settings regardless of client background and condition.
