Job summary

Elite Home Health, part of LHC Group within the Optum family, is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to deliver treatment, exercise instruction and patient education under a supervising PT in a home care setting.

You will follow the plan of care, assist with mobility, gait training, and ADLs, while ensuring compliance with state laws. Weekend rotation required. Competitive compensation and benefits align with UnitedHealth Group standards.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy
• Current driver''s license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation
• Available to work a weekend rotation

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws governing the provision of physical therapy in home care and follow the plan of care
• Instructs and aids patients in active and passive exercise, gait, ADL, transfer, and mobility training
• Observes and reports patient responses to treatment and coordinates care with the health team
• Instructs patient, family, caregiver, and other health care team members in therapy within the scope of PTA
• Function in diverse home settings regardless of patient demographics
