Job summary

Carle Health is hiring a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to support patients of all ages under the direction of a physical therapist. The role involves delivering therapy services, documenting progress, and collaborating with the care team.

The PTA will provide therapeutic exercise, gait and balance training, aquatic therapy when indicated, and electrical stimulation. Strong communication with patients and families is essential to deliver quality care and meet program requirements.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a related field required.
• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) and BLS within 30 days.
• Board-eligible and commit to ongoing CEU for acute stroke care.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, families, caregivers, students and other health care staff.
• Follows the plan of care and adjusts treatment based on patient response and current evidence.
• Document patient care per policy and complete daily notes.
• Provides aquatic therapy and therapeutic exercises as prescribed.
• Performs electrical stimulation and coordinates with PT on patient treatment.
