Job summary

Carle Health in Illinois is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to implement plans of care under the supervision of a physical therapist, treating patients of all ages. The PTA serves as a clinical resource and role model for staff and students.

Educates patients and families, documents care, and contributes to ongoing treatment decisions. The position emphasizes evidence-based practice, continuous education, and collaboration with the therapy team to optimize patient outcomes

Qualifications

Associate's Degree and PTA credential.
Licensed PTA in Illinois or eligible for licensure.
Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.
Board eligible and able to complete board exam when offered.

Responsibilities

Educates patients, families, caregivers, students and staff.
Follows and adjusts plan of care with communication to evaluating therapist.
Documents according to policy (CTSCP67) and daily notes.
Completes annual education related to program requirements when applicable.
Provides therapy interventions including therapeutic exercise, gait and balance training, ultrasound.
Administers electrical stimulation and aquatic therapy as prescribed.
