Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant required.
• BLS certification within 30 days after start.
• Board Eligible/Required to complete board exam when available; continue CEUs for acute stroke care.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, family, caregivers, students and other health care providers using effective teaching methods.
• Follows the therapist's plan of care and adjusts treatment based on patient response with documented communication.
• Produces documentation per Clinical Documentation Policy CTSCP67.
• Complete annual education for DNV Hip and Knee Replacement Program requirements, if applicable.
• Follows treatment plan of care and provides therapies including therapeutic exercise, gait and balance training, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, aquatic therapy.
