Job summary

Carle Health seeks a Licensed Physical Therapist to evaluate and treat patients of all ages, developing individualized care plans and documenting progress. You will educate patients and families, monitor outcomes, and collaborate with the care team to ensure optimal recovery.

New grads may qualify for a sign-on bonus ($5,000) and relocation assistance is available; BLS required, and ongoing CEUs are expected to maintain stroke care proficiency.

Qualifications

• Licensed PT with active license or eligible for licensure in the state
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Attend and satisfactorily complete continuing education on acute stroke care

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates ability to perform patient transfers with safe body mechanics
• Educates patients and families using effective teaching methods
• Develops, implements, and adjusts plan of care based on patient response and evidence
• Documents clinical findings and care in the EMR
• Communicates progress and treatment recommendations with referring providers
• Evaluates impairments related to orthopedic and neurologic conditions and sets functional goals
