Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy required.
• Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) in good standing; IDFPR verification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - AHA.
• Attend and satisfactorily complete continuing education for acute stroke care.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates safe and effective patient transfers with assistance as needed.
• Treats patients with empathy, dignity, and engagement.
• Designs a plan of care integrating goals, treatment, outcomes, and discharge plan.
• Educates patients and families using effective teaching methods.
• Evaluates clinical findings to determine PT diagnoses and outcomes.
• Performs examinations and selects appropriate assessment methods.
• Documents clinical activity in EMR per policy.
• Screens patients to determine therapy needs and progression.
• Supervises support personnel in line with legal standards.
