Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care is seeking a licensed Pediatric Physical Therapist to provide home health services for patients from birth to 21 years old. You will evaluate motor function, interpret data, and work with a multidisciplinary team to set and reach goals, including staff training and caregiver education.

The role requires TX licensure, a graduate degree in PT, and pediatric experience; Spanish language ability is a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in physical therapy from an accredited program.
• Texas license to practice physical therapy.
• Pediatrics experience required; new grads must have 6 weeks pediatric OT experience (internship allowed).
• Home health experience preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
• Must carry valid auto insurance and driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy in the home or daytime facility for patients aged 0–21 years, 2+ times weekly per physician orders.
• Define degree and type of impairment using appropriate testing instruments.
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written reports.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team; plan/evaluate goals and advise on PT modalities.
• Plan for and modify care to meet PT goals.
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients through training materials and in-service programs.
• May supervise Certified Physical Therapy Assistants.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2 or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders
• Define the patients degree and type of physical and gross motor impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports
• In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct the team in specific physical therapy modalities and interventions
• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of physical therapy interventions
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with the total physical therapy program
• May provide supervision to Certified Physical Therapy Assistants
