Job summary

NORTH TEXAS THERAPY & HOMECARE is seeking a licensed physical therapist to provide pediatric services in home and daytime facilities for patients aged 0–21, with visits 2+ times weekly as ordered by physicians.

The role requires a graduate degree in physical therapy, Texas licensure, and pediatric experience. Bilingual Spanish is a plus, and a valid driver's license and auto insurance are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree from an accredited program in physical therapy.
• License to practice physical therapy in Texas.
• Experience in pediatrics required; new grads must have a minimum of 6 weeks pediatric OT experience.
• Home health experience preferred; bilingual in Spanish a plus.
• Must carry valid auto insurance and drivers license.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled PT in the home or daytime facility for patients 0–21 years old, 2+ times per week as per physician orders.
• Define patient impairment levels using appropriate testing instruments.
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to plan goals and interventions.
• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of physical therapy interventions.
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients with training materials and in-service programs.
• May provide supervision to Certified Physical Therapy Assistants.

• Experience in pediatrics required (New grads must have a minimum of 6 weeks of pediatric OT experience - can include internship)
• Home health experience preferred
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2 or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders
• Define the patients degree and type of physical and gross motor impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports
• In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct the team in specific physical therapy modalities and interventions
• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of physical therapy interventions
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with the total physical therapy program
• May provide supervision to Certified Physical Therapy Assistants
