Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to provide pediatric services in the home or daytime facility for patients aged 0–21, with at least two visits per week as prescribed by physicians. You will assess impairments, interpret data, plan goals with the multidisciplinary team, and educate staff and families on therapy approaches.

Applicants must hold a graduate degree in physical therapy and Texas licensure; pediatric experience is required, home health

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in physical therapy from an accredited program.
• Licensed to practice physical therapy in Texas.
• Experience in pediatrics required; new grads may have 6 weeks pediatric OT experience.
• Home health experience preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish a bonus.
• Must carry valid auto insurance and drivers license.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy services in the home or daytime facility for patients aged 0–21, 2+ times per week.
• Define degree and type of impairment using appropriate testing instruments.
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to plan and evaluate goals, and instruct team in PT modalities.
• Plan for and modify care to meet PT intervention goals.
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients with training materials and in-service programs.
• May supervise Certified Physical Therapy Assistants.

• License to practice physical therapy in the state of Texas
• Experience in pediatrics required (New grads must have a minimum of 6 weeks of pediatric OT experience - can include internship)
• Home health experience preferred
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus
• Must carry valid auto insurance and drivers license.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2 or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders
• Define the patients degree and type of physical and gross motor impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports
• In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct the team in specific physical therapy modalities and interventions
• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of physical therapy interventions
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with the total physical therapy program
• May provide supervision to Certified Physical Therapy Assistants
