NORTH TEXAS THERAPY & HOMECARE in Forney, Texas, seeks a licensed Physical Therapist to deliver pediatric home health services for patients aged 0–21 years, two or more visits weekly as prescribed.

Responsibilities include assessing impairments, selecting tests, interpreting data, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to set goals and implement interventions. Pediatric home health experience preferred; Spanish language skills are a plus.

Formación

• Graduate degree from an accredited physical therapy program.
• License to practice physical therapy in Texas.
• Pediatrics experience required; new grads must have a minimum of 6 weeks pediatric OT experience (can include internship).
• Home health experience preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
• Must carry valid auto insurance and drivers license.

Responsabilidades

• Provide skilled physical therapy services in the home or daytime facility for patients aged 0–21 years, 2+ times per week per physician orders.
• Define degree and type of physical and gross motor impairment using appropriate tests.
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written reports.
• Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to plan and evaluate goals and advise on PT modalities.
• Plan for and modify care to meet PT goals.
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients; deliver training and materials.
• May supervise Certified Physical Therapy Assistants.

• Define the patients degree and type of physical and gross motor impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports
• In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct the team in specific physical therapy modalities and interventions
• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of physical therapy interventions
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with the total physical therapy program
• May provide supervision to Certified Physical Therapy Assistants
