Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to provide skilled PT services in patients' homes or daytime facilities for ages 0–21, at least twice weekly, per physician orders.

You will assess and define motor impairments, interpret data, and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to plan goals and select modalities. Training staff and supervising assistants may be required.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in physical therapy from an accredited program.
• Licensed to practice physical therapy in Texas.
• Pediatric experience required; new grads must have 6 weeks of pediatric OT experience (internships count).
• Home health experience preferred.
• Spanish bilingual a plus.
• Must carry valid auto insurance and driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2 or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders.
• Define the patient's degree and type of physical and gross motor impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments.
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports.
• In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct the team in specific physical therapy modalities and interventions.
• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of physical therapy interventions.
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with the total physical therapy program.
• May provide supervision to Certified Physical Therapy Assistants.
