Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care seeks a licensed Physical Therapist to provide pediatric home health services for children 0–21 in Frisco and surrounding areas. You will work 2+ visits per week per physician orders, evaluating and treating motor impairments.

Responsibilities include designing plans, educating families, coordinating with a multidisciplinary team, and supervising CPTA as needed. A bilingual Spanish speaker is a plus; valid driver's license required.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree from an accredited program in physical therapy.
• License to practice physical therapy in Texas.
• Pediatrics experience required; new grads must have at least 6 weeks of pediatric OT experience (can include internship).
• Home health experience preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
• Must carry valid auto insurance and driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0–21 years old, 2+ times per week, per physician orders.
• Define degree and type of impairment by selecting and administering appropriate testing instruments.
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written reports.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team to plan and evaluate goals and teach physical therapy modalities.
• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of interventions.
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients with training materials and in-service programs.
• May supervise Certified Physical Therapy Assistants.

• Define the patients degree and type of physical and gross motor impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports
• In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct the team in specific physical therapy modalities and interventions
• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of physical therapy interventions
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with the total physical therapy program
• May provide supervision to Certified Physical Therapy Assistants
