North Texas Therapy & Home Care is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to provide skilled services in home settings for pediatric patients (0–21) up to twice weekly, per physician orders. You will assess impairments, interpret data, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to set goals and deliver PT interventions.

The role requires pediatric experience, a Texas PT license, and the ability to educate families.

Qualifications

• Must hold a graduate degree in physical therapy.
• Licensed to practice PT in Texas.
• Experience in pediatrics required; new grads may have at least 6 weeks pediatric OT experience (internship acceptable).
• Home health experience preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
• Must carry valid auto insurance and driver’s license.

Responsabilités

• Provide skilled PT services in the home or daytime facility for patients aged 0–21, 2+ times per week, per physician orders.
• Define the patient’s degree and type of physical and gross motor impairment using appropriate testing instruments.
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports.
• Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to plan and evaluate goals and advise on PT modalities and interventions.
• Plan for and modify care to meet PT intervention goals.
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients with training materials and in-service programs.
• May supervise Certified Physical Therapy Assistants.

Graduate degree in physical therapy (DPT)

• Graduate degree from an accredited academic program in physical therapy
• License to practice physical therapy in the state of Texas
• Experience in pediatrics required (New grads must have a minimum of 6 weeks of pediatric OT experience - can include internship)
• Home health experience preferred
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus
• Must carry valid auto insurance and drivers license.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2 or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders
• Define the patients degree and type of physical and gross motor impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports
• In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct the team in specific physical therapy modalities and interventions
• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of physical therapy interventions
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with the total physical therapy program
• May provide supervision to Certified Physical Therapy Assistants
