Job summary

Palm Springs Healthcare Center in Palm Springs is hiring a Physical Therapist (PT). The role involves evaluating and treating residents within a defined plan of care, and ensuring safe discharge through home assessments when appropriate.

The compensation includes a salary of $104,000–$124,000 per year with per diem/on-call duties; a sign-on bonus is available. PTO and referral bonuses are offered as part of benefits.

Qualifications

• Degree in Physical Therapy (BS/MS/DPT).
• Current California PT license.
• One year of clinical experience preferred; new graduates welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and administers treatment to patients with neuromuscular/musculoskeletal issues.
• Remains compliant with care plans and documentation.
• Performs assessments of muscle strength, ROM, coordination and respiratory function.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and adheres to regulations.

Physical Therapist (PT) Duties and Responsibilities within scope of practice and federal guidelines:

• Evaluates, plans and administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers and interprets tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct resident treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts home assessments simulated or actual, as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment.
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.

Physical Therapist (PT) Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred. New graduates welcomed!
• Current license to practice Physical Therapy issued by the state of California.
