A leading company in Rhode Island is seeking a Physical Therapist to develop treatment plans and work closely with children and their families. Responsibilities include instructing staff, observing therapy sessions, and collaborating with a clinical team. The role emphasizes communication and mentorship, with a focus on best practices in therapy. The Physical Therapist (PT) writes goals and objectives for the treatment plan in coordination with the child’s clinical team. The PT instructs home-based workers on proper implementation of treatment interventions. The PT will observe Behavior Technicians treating the child on a monthly basis. The PT will communicate, consult and work closely with parents/guardians, other team members, external agencies, and other professionals on therapy programs, goals, progress, adaptive equipment, etc.
Broad Areas of Responsibility:
Participating in agency activities, communicating the agency’s values and principles to others; providing training and mentoring to new and existing employees; guiding the work of Behavior Technicians, parents/guardians, and other members of the team; and monitoring progress; recognizing and valuing the skills and input of employees; implementing best practice measures in relation to all clinical responsibilities.
