Physical Therapist, Women & Infants
Med/Surg Adult
Per Diem, Weekdays

Job Responsibilities
  1. Assist patients in reaching maximum physical performance while adjusting to disabilities.
  2. Interpret physical therapy evaluations and test results to determine treatment goals and plans.
  3. Administer manual exercises and instruct, encourage, and assist patients in performing physical activities and using supportive devices.
  4. Evaluate effects of treatment at various stages and adjust treatments to achieve maximum benefit.
  5. Perform patient assessments and establish a plan of care.
  6. Complete billing sheets accurately by end of day.
  7. Provide in-service education programs for nursing personnel as needed.
  8. Identify and document goals, anticipated progress, and plans for reevaluation.
  9. Discuss evaluation, goals, and treatment with both patient and family.
  10. Participate in hospital-wide quality process improvement.
  11. Supervise PTAs according to organizational policy and state regulations.
Qualifications
  • Doctor of Physical Therapy required; experience in lieu of degree not accepted.
  • State license as a Physical Therapist required.
  • BLS/AHA certification required.
  • Vehicle driver's license preferred.
  • Experience completing internship or apprenticeship program, 1-2 years preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, electronic medical records, and related accreditation requirements.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, case management, and communication skills.
