Physical Therapist (PT), Adult/Med Surg

Weekend Per Diem Hours

Women & Infants Hospital, Providence, Rhode Island

Provide physical therapy services to patients with impairments, functional limitations, or disabilities resulting from injury, disease, or other causes. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, educate patients and families, supervise support personnel, and manage resources effectively.

  1. Assess and evaluate physical therapy needs according to organizational and professional guidelines.
  2. Develop treatment plans considering patients' age, situation, and discharge needs.
  3. Revise treatment plans based on patient progress.
  4. Ensure complete, timely documentation in accordance with guidelines.
  5. Orient, train, and mentor therapy and healthcare students.
  6. Identify and implement performance improvement opportunities.
  7. Participate in additional departmental, organizational, or network activities.
  8. Uphold SRN Organizational Values of Innovation, Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
  • Licensed (and in good standing) as a physical therapist in Rhode Island.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic math and computer skills.
  • Knowledge of physical therapy evaluation and treatment techniques.
  • Problem-solving skills considering patient’s background.
  • Ability to teach, self-assess, and prioritize effectively.
  • Computer proficiency; Microsoft Office preferred.
  • Flexible work schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays, and travel.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Attention to detail and initiative.
