Job summary

Sheltering Arms Institute is seeking a Physical Therapist for our outpatient team, with coverage at our Short Pump campus in Virginia. You will deliver patient-centered PT services, including examination, treatment planning, and plan implementation, while coordinating with the care team.

You will document progress, communicate with colleagues, and provide supervision or instruction to staff, students, and caregivers as needed. This role emphasizes quality care and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Experience in outpatient rehabilitation preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program.
• Virginia licensure or eligibility required.
• Healthcare CPR certification required.
• Doctoral degree and/or specialty certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality, comprehensive physical therapy services.
• Develop and administer treatment plans and document care.
• Communicate with team members and supervise licensed/non-licensed staff.
• Instruct therapy support staff, students, and patients/caregivers.

Sheltering Arms Institute is seeking a Physical Therapist to join our outpatient team. This position provides coverage at our main campus in Short Pump. The Physical Therapist provides quality, comprehensive, patient‑centered physical therapy services including patient examination, development and administration of a treatment plan, documentation and communication with team members, and clinical direction and supervision to licensed/non‑licensed personnel. Instructs therapy support staff, students, other team members, and patient and/or caregivers.

Qualifications And Skills

• Experience/expertise in outpatient rehabilitation preferred.

Education/Certifications

• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy educational program required.
• Virginia licensure to practice or eligibility and application for licensure by the Physical Therapy Board of the Virginia State Board of Health Professions required.
• Healthcare professionals CPR certification required.
• Doctoral degree from an accredited physical therapy programs and/or specialty practice certification preferred.

Compensation

• $38.00 - $56.00 per hour
• This range reflects our commitment to pay equity and market‑competitive compensation.
• Final compensation depends on experience, skills, and internal equity.
